Learning that Lasts – Contributor Post for Life, Abundantly

I was perusing my journal. It is not one of those daily journals – it is not a practice of my life to write in a journal every day. It is a sporadically kept record of Bible verses and quotes from non-fiction writers I read. A prayer pops up in there every once in a while.

If you know about Charlotte Mason’s litany of journals, I would compare it to a commonplace journal.

Anywho, I found this quote a few weeks back. I have read it so many times since then, I knew I had to share it with someone. So, I typed it up and started writing. Not in my journal.

The resulting post turned out to be my contribution to Life, Abundantly this month. I hope you will go over and read it. The post is about the purpose of homeschooling, about the simple ways I meet the overarching goal of our homeschool.

And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.

Deuteronomy 6: 6-7
