Testimonial

Thank you so much for this very enlightening and wonderful study of the Scriptures on the birth of Christ. I learnt so much! It has certainly made me look beyond all the different characters in the story of the birth of Jesus and see how each and everyone of them had a special role and place in this important event. Thank you once again and God bless you richly!
May C.

I am excited you are joining me and my family in studying the Scriptures with your family this season.  If you are looking for a workbook version of the study guide, I have you covered!

Gently Guide your independent learners with the Inductive Study for Kids: The Story of the Birth of Jesus  workbook.

The Inductive Study for Kids: The Story of the Birth of Jesus workbook includes:

    • a 26-page workspace
    • 12 important topics related to the birth of Christ
    • detailed questions and instructions
    • cross-references and extensions
    • memory verses
The workbook will provide a space to work through the Bible study with your family.  Older, more independent students, can answer the questions for themselves following detailed instructions. Each day your student will practice using one (or more) of the tools of inductive Bible study.  Those tools will be useful for the rest of her life as she studies the Bible.  What a beautiful habit to cultivate!

Hi, I'm Leah Hudson

Christian homeschool mom, part-time businesswoman, creator of the Gathering Placemats, and writer at Simple.Home.Blessings. Most days you can find me up early in the morning, nursing a cup of coffee, studying my Bible before the chaos of my day with four kids begins.

The most important thing I could tell you about myself is I am a believer in Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.

I believe the very God who created the Universe and all it contains is the one who wrote the Bible. He is also the one who laid all that aside to reconcile my sinful self to Him. I also believe He now resides in my heart and soul and teaches my aging (motherhood-addled) brain to know Him and love Him.

I became a believer in my teenage years in a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church. I had no idea there were people who didn’t study the Bible the way I did. After I got married, my mother-in-law introduced me to inductive Bible study through Precept Upon Precept studies. I had found my people!!

After about 6 years of studying every Precept Bible study I could attend, I went and trained to become a class leader.

God blessed me with the opportunity to lead/teach Bible studies for about 5 years until He made it clear I needed to be at home with my four kids, teaching them through homeschool. But I just couldn’t help myself – I began to teach my kids how to study the Bible using the inductive method as soon as I possibly could.

Now I am sharing it with you. I hope to be a blessing to you as you begin to teach your kids using the inductive method.

I love the inductive method for one primary reason: when I study my Bible I can know Truth for myself. It is not shaded by the opinions of men, it is Truth directly from God, Himself. And that is beyond exciting! It gives me joy to know my kids can know Truth, too

I am overjoyed to share INductive Study for Kids:the story of the Birth of Jesus  with you this season.

What to Expect in this Study

Over the next two and a half weeks, I will be sharing our Inductive Study for Kids series called The Story of the Birth of Jesus. Look for a new email each weekday as you walk your family through the Christmas story in your devotions this month. The emails will be delivered to your inbox each morning, starting December 1st.

Each email will introduce one portion of the Christmas story. The emails are intended to help you begin asking questions with your kids as you dig into the Scriptures this season. You do not need to have done an inductive study before. You will use the bible study tools associated with inductive study naturally.

What you Need for this Study

All you need to do this study is a good, accurate version of the Bible. I recommend purchasing and printing the guide if you want to do the Bible study screen-free.  The workbook is handy for older students who can work on their own.  Otherwise, I like to my study on our chalkboard table with my kids.

Where to get the Emails & the Materials

The first email will be delivered the morning of December 1st.  Be sure to “white-list” my email leah@simplehomeblessings.com to ensure the emails land in your inbox.

You can get the study guide and the workbook in my shop.  I have a special offer of 25% off when you bundle both of the resources together.
